The Round Pond to be restored

On Thursday 23 January, work began to restore the Round Pond in Kensington Gardens to its 1734 design. For 12 weeks access will be limited, while the pond receives a crisp edging sitting on a low plateau.

Lancer Square development approved

On Tuesday 21 January, the council’s major planning development committee approved the demolition of the two 20-year-old office and shop buildings around Lancer Square, to be replaced by three larger buildings, whereof two will predominantly be filled with luxury flats and one with offices.
