Basement applications put on hold

All pending and new planning applications which contain basement developments will be put on hold until the planning inspector has delivered his judgement, regarding the borough’s proposed basements policy.

Celebrating the cherry tree painter

On 22 September 2014, the painter Ann Langford Dent died, 90 years old. Although few in our area knew her, many noticed her when she arrived each spring to capture the wonder when our cherry trees for a few days turn Brunswick Gardens and Palace Gardens Terrace into fluffy white meringue.
