Our neighbourhood is becoming very well sourced with smaller food stores. We experienced a first wave in 2004 and 2005, when Marks & Spencer and Tesco opened their “Simply Food” and “Metro” stores in Notting Hill Gate. Late last year, this was followed by a “Sainsbury’s Local” on Kensington Church Street, and on 5 August 2014, Waitrose opened a “Little Waitrose” in Notting Hill Gate, between the M&S and Tesco stores.
